Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Salary: £40,000 gross per annum

A professional live-in Housekeeper is required to join a large rural estate in Fife. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced and organised to manage the day-to-day housekeeping of the large historic residence.

Overview:

An experienced and capable Housekeeper is sought for a private rural estate in the East Neuk of Fife. The Principals reside at the property full time, but do travel regularly. The role involves full responsibility for the day-to-day housekeeping and smooth running of the house, working alongside an established estate team.

The household includes visiting adult children and occasional guests. The successful candidate will be confident managing a large private home independently, while liaising closely with estate and gardening staff.

Duties included but not limited to:

All housekeeping duties and overseeing household maintenance tasks (e.g. changing light bulbs, turning mattresses)

Full laundry care, including washing and ironing

Laying and maintaining fires throughout the house

Stock control of cleaning products, household supplies, and food, including online and local shopping

Occasional food preparation for family and guests and regular baking

Running errands and managing deliveries and collections

Liaising with the estate office, gardeners, and maintenance team

Responsibility for household security systems (alarms, locks, shutters)

Using garden produce, preparing flower arrangements and caring for houseplants
